Beth Brummitt

Beth Brummitt has been advancing sustainable prosperity through both business and volunteer work for more than three decades. In 1998, she founded Brummitt Energy Associates which became a leader in the energy design of LEED and zero-energy commercial buildings across the US. From her A.B. at Stanford University, her business experience has ranged from managing start-ups to working for a Fortune Global 500 company. Beth was founding co-chair of the San Diego Green Building Council, a former chair of the California Association of Building Energy Consultants and has also served as chair of several other non-profits. Her favorite pastimes include playing piano and long-distance kayaking in the Sea of Cortez. She has been immersed in the ocean’s glorious bounty and has also seen places of its devastation. She finds the Climate Foundation’s innovative approach to nature-based Seaforestation to be deeply thoughtful, strongly integrated, and one of our best strategies in creating a healthier world.
