Hans Kern

Picture
Hans Kern (Germany), was born in Munich and graduated from Bard College in 2014, with a B.A. in political studies. Inspired in childhood by the Whole Earth Catalog, he has always felt that the 21st century needs a similarly unifying approach to its inter-connected challenges. With that in mind, he wrote, illustrated, edited and self-published the [Re]cyclopaedia: manual to the major known strategies for [re]versing global warming and [re]greening the planet. Research for this led him to seaweed as the single most promising organic tool for CO2 drawdown and ocean regeneration. He is working with Jonas Kunz on seaweed fermentation and the expansion of marine permaculture in Europe and beyond.
