Australian Aid created the Blue Economy Challenge which attracted 240 applications. The winners were announced at the Oceans Conference in Washington DC. The Climate Foundation is one of nine winners in their Challenge 3: Sustainable Design for Aquaculture. The climate foundation's project, Open water Marine Permaculture Arrays, creates seaweed farms in Zanzibar helping 10,000 seaweed farmers.
Sustainable Sanitation Alliance Partner
Foundation becomes a partner member of the Sustainable Sanitation
Alliance (Susana), an informal network of organizations who share a
common vision on sustainable sanitation. SuSanA came into existence in
early 2007 and works as a coordination platform, working platform,
sounding board, contributor to the policy dialogue on sustainable
sanitation and as a “catalyst”.
